Follow these steps to switch from Vi to Jio
First of all, understand the meaning of Mobile Number Portability (MNP). Mobile number portability means that you can switch from one network to another without changing your number. That means your existing number will always remain, only the network will change.
After this, look at Jio's plans and decide which Jio plans are right for you. You can get information about the available plans by visiting Jio's website or Jio Store.
Request a port from Vi to Jio
Send SMS PORT from your Vi number to 1900. After this you will get a UPC (Unique Porting Code). This is required for SIM porting. This code will have to be used while switching to Jio.
Go to Jio Store: Now you have to go to your nearest Jio store and get your Vi SIM replaced with a Jio SIM. Go to the Jio store and show your UPC. You will get a new Jio SIM.
Show Aadhaar card and identity proof: The porting process at the Jio store will require you to show your proof of identity (Aadhaar card, PAN card or driving license) and a passport size photo.
Wait for the new Jio SIM to be activated: It may take some time for the Jio SIM to be activated. Normally it can be from 2-3 hours to 24 hours. Once the SIM is activated, you can start using the Jio network.
