All is not well in Indian cricket? Gambhir-Agarkar clashed with each other over three players!

There is news of a heated argument between Gautam Gambhir and Ajit Agarkar before the Champions Trophy 2025. According to media reports, this argument took place between the two during the team selection for the Champions Trophy.

Everything is not going well in Team India before the Champions Trophy (Champions Trophy 2025).

There is no coordination between Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar and Head Coach Gautam Gambhir (Gautam Gambhir Ajit Agarkar argument) regarding which players should get a chance and who should not. A heated argument, whatever you call it, has been seen between the two regarding this.

This has been claimed in a report by Times of India . The report claims that first of all there is no agreement between the two regarding Shreyas Iyer. At the same time, something similar is being seen regarding the wicketkeeper's position.

The report quoted sources as saying that during the Champions Trophy squad selection, there was a heated debate between Agarkar and Gambhir regarding keeping Shreyas Iyer in the team and the second wicketkeeper's slot.

In fact, when selection committee head Ajit Agarkar announced the team for the Champions Trophy, he had claimed that Rishabh Pant is the first choice wicketkeeper.

But in the three-match ODI series against England, Pant was the only player who did not get a chance to play even a single match. Even Gautam Gambhir has made it clear that KL Rahul is Team India's first choice wicketkeeper in ODI cricket.

Rahul is our number one wicketkeeper right now. Rishabh Pant will get a chance to play but right now Rahul is performing well. We cannot play with two wicketkeeper-batsmen in the match.

At the same time, there is confusion about the middle order. Shreyas Iyer was not going to get a chance in the first match of the ODI series against England.

But after Virat got injured, he was given a chance. This was told by Iyer himself. While in two matches, Akshar Patel was also made to bat above KL Rahul in the middle order. Gambhir had also made it clear about this that he wants a left hand, right hand combination, that is why this was done.

Earlier, there were reports of differences between Ajit Agarkar and Gautam Gambhir regarding the vice-captaincy of the team. According to the report of Dainik Jagran , coach Gautam Gambhir was not in favor of making Shubman Gill the vice-captain.

Gambhir believed that Hardik Pandya should be given the vice-captaincy. However, captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar did not agree with this decision. Both chose Gill as the vice-captain.

The Champions Trophy is going to start from February 19. Team India has to play its first match on February 20. In such a situation, Indian fans would not like to hear such news at all.
