Do you store hot food in plastic containers? Don't do this, you will get heart diseases!

A study has shown that eating food stored in plastic containers increases the risk of heart diseases. This study has been done by researchers from China.

Do you often order food from outside? Do you store hot food in plastic containers? If the answer to both these questions is 'yes', then you are making a big mistake.

A study has shown that eating food stored in plastic containers increases the risk of heart diseases. This study has been done by researchers from China. It has been published in a journal named Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety.

Researchers have conducted this study in two phases. In the first phase, research was done on more than three thousand people. It was observed how often they eat food kept in plastic containers. Then it was found out how much is the risk of heart diseases in them.

It was found that people who regularly ate food stored in plastic containers had a higher risk of congestive heart failure. Congestive heart failure is a serious condition. In this condition, the heart is unable to pump as much blood as the body needs.

But why is this so? Researchers believe that the chemicals that enter the body through plastic affect the gut microbiome. That is, it disturbs the balance between good bacteria and bad bacteria in the stomach.

This increases inflammation in the body. This inflammation damages the cardiovascular system. The cardiovascular system is made up of the heart and blood vessels. It supplies oxygen and essential nutrients to different organs and cells of the body.

When the cardiovascular system is damaged, the functioning of the heart is also affected. The chemicals found in plastic weaken the heart muscles. This increases the risk of congestive heart failure.

In the second phase of the research, a study was conducted on rats. First, the researchers placed boiling water in different plastic containers for 1 minute, 5 minutes and 15 minutes to see which chemicals were dissolving in what quantity in the water.

They found that plastic can contain more than 20 thousand chemicals. Such as bisphenol A, phthalates and PFAS. All these chemicals are very harmful for the body.

Then they gave the same chemical water to the rats to drink. After a few months, some changes were seen in their intestines and heart, they were not healthy.

We asked Dr Tushar what kind of utensils should be used to store food?

Dr. Tushar says that you should store food in steel, glass or ceramic containers. Do not use plastic containers at all. However, if you have to use them out of compulsion, then do not keep hot food in them at all. Let the food cool down a bit, only then store it in a plastic container.
